As the visionary founder and lead therapist at Lympha Spa and Massage, Fiona Roberts is redefining the landscape of lymphatic health, post-surgery recovery, and holistic wellness. With over 15 years of experience, Fiona is not just a therapist—she’s a healer, a survivor, and a passionate advocate for the power of touch in the healing process.

Fiona’s journey began in Bangkok, Thailand, where she earned her Master’s degree before moving to the United States to immerse herself in health and wellness. Her global perspective and academic foundation have allowed her to develop a distinctive, holistic approach, integrating advanced therapeutic techniques with a deep understanding of the mind-body connection.

Throughout her career, Fiona has specialized in acupressure, trigger point therapy, tendon work, and oncology massage, offering therapeutic massage that targets the root causes of discomfort and promotes healing for cancer patients. However, as life would have it, she found herself repeatedly called to work with clients needing lymphatic care—a specialty she embraced with both heart and skill. Over time, lymphatic massage became her primary focus, and Fiona sought out extensive training with the best in the field to provide cutting-edge care for her clients.

Her compassion extends beyond the massage table. For five years, Fiona worked in hospice care, learning the profound importance of comfort, care, and human connection during life’s most challenging moments. This experience deepened her empathy, strengthening her belief in the healing power of touch.

In 2015, Fiona triumphed in the Bikini NANBF bodybuilding competition, winning 1st place and earning her pro card. But just two years later, everything changed. While preparing for a professional show, she discovered a tumor in her abdomen. This led to an 8-hour surgery and 9 weeks of intense chemotherapy. Overcoming ovarian and endometrial cancer became a life-altering journey that shaped Fiona’s resilience and purpose in ways she never could have imagined. It is this personal experience that drives her commitment to helping others heal—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually.

Fiona’s pursuit of excellence has led her to train with leading experts in lymphatic and post-surgery care, including Dr. Perry Nickelston, Josie Rushing of Brazilicious Beauty Spa, Rebecca Faria of Detox by Rebecca, and Nicole Psomas, author of After the Cut. With each new certification and technique she masters, Fiona ensures that her clients receive the most advanced, effective care available. Her dedication to continuous learning keeps her at the forefront of the industry, offering clients in Des Moines—and beyond—the highest standard of detoxification, recovery, and wellness.

Looking ahead, Fiona is determined to make a lasting impact. She dreams of launching a charitable foundation to provide free massages for cancer patients, a cause close to her heart after her own battle with cancer. This initiative is an extension of Fiona’s life’s work—creating spaces of healing and comfort for those who need it most.

For over 15 years, I’ve dedicated my life to the art and science of massage, specializing in lymphatic care. My journey has taken me across the globe, learning from leading experts and mastering techniques for wellness, detoxification, and recovery from conditions like lymphedema, lipedema, and post-surgery swelling. Through thousands of sessions and hands-on experience, I’ve developed Fiona’s Lymphatic Method—a unique, results-driven approach tailored to each client’s needs.

This method is deeply personal to me. It blends the best of my global training with a commitment to addressing the root causes of pain and swelling, helping clients feel lighter, healthier, and more at ease. Whether it’s reducing discomfort from chronic conditions, speeding up post-surgery recovery, or improving overall wellness, my goal has always been to transform lives through personalized care.
